Shut the front door, Red Bell Peppers!

Hey all!

I wanted to share with you one of Sawyer's favorites!  He loves Red BEll Peppers! Definitely was a trial and error, but I have developed a recipe he really enjoys!  The first time I made them he wasn't to impressed, after a couple times of eating them they grew on him.  The next time i made them he definitely couldn't get enough fast enough .  The first time I sautéed them in a pan with olive oil, but the smoothness wasn't quite right. I figured the skin was the problem.  And the second time around I grilled the peppers whole!

2 large red bell peppers
5 purple basil leaves
1 tsp. garlic powdered
2 tsp. Olive oil

Grill peppers until the skin is charred, about 20 minutes.  Let the peppers cool for roughly 2 minutes, and then peel gently away the skin of the pepper (it should peel pretty easily).  Then slice up the peppers and add to the processor along with the rest of the ingredients.  As usual chop and grind away. I puréed till it was velvety smooth!

Enjoy!
