Leftovers!

Hey all,
I thought it would be fun to share some leftover recipes!
First leftover recipe is for chicken:
For the 4th of July we pre-baked chicken to cook on the grill!  We had some breasts and a thigh leftover, and instead of wasting, I figured heck purée it! Sawyer will love it!

2 small chicken breasts
1 small chicken thigh
Water
1 Chicken bullion cube

I seasoned chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper and baked @ 350 degrees for a little over an hour.  The leftovers went in the fridge for a couple days.

Now to rehydrate the chicken I added it to a medium size pot and added the bullion cube with just enough water to cover the chicken.  I turned the stove on to medium low temperature and cooked it for about 20 minutes.  I let the chicken cool for about 5 minutes chopped it up into large chunks and placed it in my mini processor along with a tad of the chicken broth from the pot.  I continued to add a touch of water till the texture of the chicken purée was just about smooth but not runny.

My next leftover i did for sawyer, was leftover pork roast!  I marinaded the pork and roasted it on the grill.  It was just my husband and I, so if your a family of 3 (2 adults) you should know, usually you end up with leftovers.  Right after my husband and I ate our portion of the pork, I knew we weren't fans of leftover pork, so why not give it to sawyer to chow down!  So I had:

About 1/2 lb. of pork roast
And I used my leftover water I used to cook my snap peas

So all you need to do now is chop up the pork, add it to the processor and just gradually add a liquid base till the meat is puréed to the consistency that is best for your little one.

Now you don't have to feel bad if you over cook, your little one will enjoy it just as much as you!

Purée, purée, purée!
